Three puppies abandoned in a wooded area

Following information from the public, a suspected animal abuser has now been identified and charged. He is said to have abandoned three puppies in a wooded area and left them to their fate. A local resident became aware of the poor four-legged friends.

A 45-year-old man from St. Oswald near Freistadt abandoned three 5-month-old puppies in a wooded area on July 13. The unchipped mongrel puppies were found by a resident of the local village. The animal rescue team caught the puppies and took care of them at the Freistadt animal welfare center.

Thanks to information from the local population, the man has now been traced - he will be reported to the Linz public prosecutor's office.
