Wheel nuts loosened: horse trailer loses tires

Who does that? Unknown perpetrators are said to have loosened the wheel nuts on a horse trailer in the Tyrolean Oberland. When the owner wanted to drive down into the valley with a towing vehicle and trailer, the tires suddenly came loose. Fortunately, no one was injured.

The dangerous incident had already occurred on Sunday in Haiming (Imst district). The 44-year-old local woman told the police that she had parked the horse trailer and towing vehicle at around 9.30 a.m. in the parking lot at Haiminger Sattele (Haiminger Berg).

Trailer began to lurch
When she drove back down into the valley in the afternoon, at around 4.30 pm, she noticed that the trailer suddenly began to wobble.

While checking the left-hand wheels of the trailer, she finally noticed that the bolts were loose.

The woman then wanted to stop the trailer immediately - but by then both wheels on the right-hand side had already come loose. "When checking the left wheels of the trailer, she finally noticed that the bolts were loose," reported the police.

Possible witnesses should come forward
The trailer was damaged to the tune of several thousand euros. The driver escaped with a fright and remained unharmed. There is no trace of the perpetrators. Possible witnesses should come forward.
