This time, storms hit Pongau extremely hard

On Monday night, almost 500 firefighters were deployed in the Pinzgau and Pongau regions during storms, for example to clear mudslides. The situation was made worse by strong winds. 

The storms still have Salzburg in their grip - at least in the mountain regions. On Monday night, almost 500 firefighters were deployed from the Gerlos Pass to Pongau.

Mudslides on roads around the Hochkönig, flooded cellars (Bischofshofen), closed sections of train tracks (St. Johann im Pongau), covered roofs: the Floriani had their hands full well into the night and beyond.

At least this time there were no major damage reports from Flachgau, which was also affected most recently.
