Braked too hard

Cyclist (61) avoided collision but still crashed

Nasty accident on Thursday morning in Innsbruck. A 61-year-old local man wanted to avoid an oncoming cyclist on his bike and braked hard, causing himself to fall.

The 61-year-old was riding his bicycle in Innsbruck on the sidewalk and cycle path of Hallerstraße in a westerly direction. There, he wanted to avoid an oncoming cyclist (61) and began the braking maneuver.

Crash ended in hospital
This was probably too strong and he subsequently fell. He was seriously injured. After first aid, he was taken to the hospital in Innsbruck by ambulance.
