Hit by a car on a bike: Boy (13) seriously injured

Serious traffic accident Wednesday afternoon in Pöllau near Gleisdorf: A 13-year-old was hit by a car and thrown against its windshield. The boy was seriously injured.

The 66-year-old car driver was driving along Eckweg in Pöllau at around 5.45 p.m. on Wednesday. When turning in, the East Styrian collided with the oncoming cyclist. The 13-year-old was thrown against the windshield. The boy (also from the district of Weiz) was seriously injured and had to be taken to Graz Regional Hospital by ambulance. 

The car driver was uninjured, the car sustained considerable material damage and the bicycle was completely destroyed.
