Sorry, but the question seems legitimate - if you look around on social media: That's where influencers post why they clean their vacation rooms themselves before using them. There are reports on social media of smelly moldy bathrooms, torn bed linen, dirty dishes and shower curtains that look "as if they were used as toilet paper several times a day", right through to vermin infestations: well, we've seen some poorly cleaned or maintained accommodations before, such disasters have been around forever.

But it can also happen the other way round: rooms that have been fouled by guests with really disgusting manners.

No, we don't mean the obligatory sex games with traces of sperm and used condoms everywhere or various senseless eating orgies including moldy sausage sandwiches under the bed and half-empty McDonald's wrappers in the house pool. It goes much further.
