“King soccer” reigns supreme in the ski mecca of Schladming

After a month full of enthusiasm, jubilation and shed tears following Austria's all-too-early elimination from the European Football Championships in Germany, it was time for the "Krone Fanzone on Tour" to say a quiet farewell at the grand finale. Schladming and Kapfenberg were our last stops. 

As the evening sun slowly disappeared over the ski mecca, the first fans arrived at the square in front of Schladming town hall. It was here that the "Krone Fanzone on Tour" had its last public viewing appearance.

At the foot of the Planai, where thousands will once again dance the night away at the legendary "Nightrace" at the end of January, "King Football" reigned supreme for once: the European Championship final between England and Spain as the very last highlight after a month full of enthusiasm, jubilation and shed tears following the bitter elimination of the red-white-red national team in the round of 16 against Turkey.

A more than worthy farewell after stops in Hartberg, Seiersberg, the soap factory in Graz, Hinterberg and perennial favorite Kapfenberg, where the fans were also reliable on the final day.
