Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey has given his fans quite a shock with a new photo. 

In the picture, which the actor posted on Wednesday, he looks worrying.

"Sexiest Man Alive" disfigured
The face of the former "Sexiest Man Alive" is disfigured. One eye is completely swollen shut. Nevertheless, he is already laughing happily again in the photo.

"Bee swelling"
What happened? The actor was attacked and stung by a bee. However, he left it open as to how this happened. He simply commented on the picture: "Bee swelling".

"Ouch"
Celebrities such as ex-footballer David Beckham and outdoor expert Bear Grylls comforted the star in the comments. 

Grylls wrote: "Oh yeah, bro! I've been there too ." Beckham sent him an "ouch". One user wrote to him very lovingly: "Even with that eye you are beautiful!"
