Enjoy your meal! ORF pundit Robert Mählich lost a culinary bet during the European Championship quarter-final match between Switzerland and England. 

The game was anything but high-class. A lot of ball shuffling, hardly any shots on goal - both teams neutralized each other. It looked like a 0:0 for a long time. In the 73rd minute, ORF pundit Robert Mählich, who accompanied the match as co-commentator, made a bold statement. "If another goal is scored, I'll eat fish and chips or cheese fondue for a month," said the 52-year-old live on TV.

And indeed: a few moments later, the goal was scored for the Swiss! Breel Embolo put the "Nati" in the lead in the 75th minute. This also means that Mählich can enjoy the Swiss national dish cheese fondue for over a month. Whether he actually honors his bet remains to be seen. In any case, the spectators in front of the television had something to smile about ...

Bitter for Switzerland: In minute 80, England's Bukayo Saka equalized to make it 1:1. The game went into extra time. In the end, England prevailed in the penalty shoot-out and progressed to the semi-finals.
