The Landestheater Linz is going on vacation. The new season starts on September 13 with a big four-day festival. In addition to premieres, prominent guests from Franzobel to Avec and Birgit Minichmayr will be presenting a colorful program. There will also be a "love letter office and pool noodle fights", reveals theater director David Bösch.

Have you always wanted to write a sonnet about your partner? Or send a special love letter? Then you've come to the right place at the theater festival for the opening of the Linz State Theater season: from 13 to 16 September, the Schauspielhaus will be transformed into an adventure course.

Under the title "Much Ado About Love", based on the opening premieres "Much Ado About Nothing" (14. 9.) and "Young Classics - Romeo & Juliet Short Cuts" (15. 9.), the stage will not only revolve around Shakespeare and his time.

In addition to top-class evening events such as a song recital with Birgit Minichmayr and the "Stratford vs. Linz" poetry slam, there will also be a daytime program full of fun and adventure for families on Saturday and Sunday.

There will be technology shows, pool noodle fighting workshops, a love letter center, children's disco, cotton candy and much more.

The theater festival is also a welcome party for the new theater director David Bösch, who starts his first season in Linz this fall. Admission is free, except for evening events!
