New start with “heart and brain” rumbles STW

News from Klagenfurt City Hall: Ronald Rabitsch will set the course for the SP - Jürgen Dumpelnik announces his resignation.

According to reports, the designated deputy mayor Ronald Rabitsch is already on the move, although he still has to attend to his works council duties at Kabeg. He is meeting party friends and new town hall colleagues in order to put his words of constructive and cooperative government into action.

The former care expert has announced a policy "with heart and brain" for Klagenfurt. And after the disastrous chat, there will probably be personnel consequences within his own city party.

A personnel discussion would also have quickly turned to the supervisory board of the municipal utilities. But its chairman and almost-municipal director Jürgen Dumpelnik forestalls this. "I am withdrawing from the Supervisory Board," he tells the Krone. "Although we have succeeded in depoliticizing Stadtwerke, nothing else seems possible at the moment to give Ron Rabitsch a good new start."

Dumpelnik still wants to chair the supervisory board meeting on Monday and formally stay on until Rabitsch nominates a successor.
