Fugitive tried to enter apartment and injured himself

A 36-year-old man from Linz had been in hiding since January 22. The man had severely abused and threatened his girlfriend at the time and was sentenced to an unconditional prison sentence. He has now started his sentence after a slight delay. And he did so because he wanted to get some clothes from his ex-girlfriend.

The man has an alcohol and violence problem. On 22 January, a 36-year-old man, who has no fixed abode, was sentenced to an unconditional prison sentence at the regional court. He had threatened and seriously injured his ex-girlfriend. However, he never served his sentence.

Another escape from the police
On Monday, the man returned to the apartment of an ex-girlfriend to get some clothes. The woman refused to let him in out of fear. The 36-year-old injured himself trying to get into the apartment. But when the ambulance arrived to take him to hospital, he fled again. On Tuesday, he was finally apprehended by searchers and taken to Linz prison.
