Fire in apartment

Man jumps from 7th floor of burning house

When an apartment in the Chinese province of Zhejiang caught fire, a resident found himself in a desperate situation on his balcony. To escape the fire, he dared to jump from the seventh floor - and survived!

The incident took place on June 4. The man had fled from the fire onto a balcony and was trapped there. As the flames got closer and closer, he made a daring decision and jumped down.

Rescue workers were already standing there and caught the man with a rescue sheet. This saved the life of the fire victim - but he and one of the rescuers were injured in the accident.
