Unsuccessful take-off: Paraglider (27) injured

On Tuesday afternoon, a 27-year-old paraglider crashed immediately after take-off in Tragöß (Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district). He crashed to the ground and had to be transported to hospital by rescue helicopter.

This was probably not how he had imagined it: A 27-year-old paraglider wanted to attempt a flight from the summit meadow of the "Messnerin" in Tragöß on Tuesday afternoon, but crashed immediately after his take-off attempt. It is still unclear why this happened.

Fall led to leg injury
The flight was short-lived and the landing on the ground was correspondingly hard and unexpected. The man, who lives in Switzerland, suffered a leg injury and the rescue helicopter was called. The Christophorus 17 helicopter took him to the LKH in Bruck an der Mur. Fortunately, he was able to leave the hospital that evening.
