Moped accident: tractor driver simply drove on

On Saturday evening, a 15-year-old moped rider crashed in Passail because a tractor driver may have blinded him and cut him off. He and his pillion ended up in the barbed wire and the rescue team had to rush to the scene. But the tractor driver simply drove on.

The friends were traveling as a group of three mopeds in the evening hours on Saturday in Passail (Weiz district). Unsuspectingly, they set off on a left-hand bend when a tractor suddenly came towards them. The tractor is said to have been driving in the middle of the road with high beam.

Teenagers landed in barbed wire
A 15-year-old moped rider tried to swerve out of the way and crashed with his 14-year-old passenger. They crashed into a wooden fence with barbed wire. According to witnesses, the tractor driver stopped briefly but then continued on his way.

The moped rider was taken to Graz Regional Hospital with undetermined injuries, his passenger was unharmed. There are currently no leads on the fleeing tractor driver - the investigation is ongoing.
