Spanish GP: Third practice from 12.30 p.m. LIVE

Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz set the fastest time in the third practice session for the Spanish Grand Prix. 

He was followed by Lando Norris (McLaren) and Charles Leclerc (Ferrari). Red Bull star Max Verstappen finished fourth.

Fire at McLaren
Shortly before the third practice session in Spain, a fire broke out at the McLaren Formula 1 team. Suddenly it started to burn in the kitchen of the McLaren hospitality on Saturday. Firefighters entered the motorhome wearing protective masks. According to ORF information, it had started to burn in the kitchen and was a plastic fire. People were also injured, but there were no burns. TV footage showed one person wearing an oxygen mask being taken away in an ambulance.

1111th Grand Prix
Formula 1 is contesting the 1111th Grand Prix in its history this weekend. Max Verstappen leads the championship standings after six victories in the first new races. He already has 56 points more than second-placed Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari. Verstappen is aiming for his third Spanish victory in a row tomorrow.
