A terrible accident occurred on Wednesday night in Kematen (Innsbruck-Land district)! A 42-year-old local man wanted to cross the road when he was hit by a car and crashed into the windshield. He was thrown through the air and seriously injured.

The collision occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on Sellrainstraße in the municipality of Kematen. A 42-year-old pedestrian wanted to go down the embankment at a petrol station and cross the road.

After first aid, the 42-year-old was taken to hospital in Innsbruck by the ambulance service.

The 42-year-old crashed into the windshield and was then thrown several meters through the air before lying seriously injured on the road.
