Next kicker fixed: GAK continues to tinker with the squad

Everyone at GAK is eagerly awaiting the big return to the Bundesliga. But it will be a while before then. The "Red Jackets" will start the new season in the next few days. The squad continues to take shape: Australian Jacob Italiano is the next player to check in at Weinzödl.

GAK continues to work hard on the squad for the big return to the Bundesliga! The next reinforcement is Jacob Italiano. The 22-year-old Australian last played for Mönchengladbach II, where his contract has expired. He has made 16 appearances for Australia's U23s, where he is also captain.

"Convinced us immediately"
"We watched him and he impressed us from the very first minute in these games. With his dynamism, his strength in transition phases and his variability, he will help us further," said Head of Sport Didi Elsneg about the new signing. "We're getting a player with great training, who fits into the team in terms of character and also speaks German." He can also play right wing, left wing and right defenseman.

However, GAK also announced a departure. Jan Stefanon is leaving Graz after one year. The striker, who joined from Austria Lustenau last year, is returning home and has signed a contract with second division side Bregenz.
