Trolleybus frequency reduction costs 5.25 million euros

As reported, the frequencies of Salzburg bus lines 9, 10 and 12 will be shortened from the winter. Now it is also clear what it will cost: 5.25 million euros.

The funds required to shorten the frequency of the three lines were unanimously approved by the Salzburg City Senate on Monday. The original assumption was that it would cost 4.8 million euros.

All other lines will return to their original 10-minute intervals after the summer vacation. This was suspended due to a lack of staff. "Above all, we have succeeded in recruiting new drivers. The staff are coming and staying. We can therefore expect a full 10-minute service by the end of the year," says a delighted Mayor Bernhard Auinger (SPÖ).
