Re-nominated! BVB pro may go to the European Championship after all

In response to the injury to Holland star Frenkie de Jong, Bonds coach Ronald Koeman has re-nominated Dortmund's Ian Maatsen. The full-back will join his team-mates on Tuesday, according to reports.

Maatsen, who was selected for the Champions League team of the season just a few days ago, is still waiting for his first appearance in the national team jersey. The 22-year-old could soon see the day arrive, as he is due to board the plane to Wolfsburg on Tuesday, where the Oranje are based during the European Championship.

The Netherlands will play their first game on Sunday against Poland, before Koeman's squad face France on June 21 and Austria on June 25.
