Innsbruck: Woman (87) injured after falling on her bike

A nasty incident occurred on Thursday, May 30th in Innsbruck. A senior citizen (87) was riding her bicycle when she was honked at several times from behind by a car. The woman felt harassed and as a result fell and had to be taken to hospital in Innsbruck. The police are now looking for witnesses.

The incident took place on the Prinz Eugen Bridge in Innsbruck at around 5.55 pm. The 87-year-old Tyrolean woman was riding her bicycle there. She crossed onto the cycle path in the middle of the bridge after a vehicle behind her had honked several times.

Woman fell and injured herself
Due to the behavior of the as yet unknown driver, the woman probably felt harassed and, according to the police, fell in the area of the sloping elevation to the cycle path.

She was taken to Innsbruck Hospital with serious injuries. The police are looking for witnesses to clarify the details of the accident.
