Intimate confession: Hamilton peed in Mercedes

A Formula 1 race can take its time and the enormous G-forces that act on the drivers are likely to put pressure on many a driver's bladder. Lewis Hamilton has now confessed to having relieved himself once during the Grand Prix in Singapore.

A few years ago, the Briton claimed on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" that, unlike his predecessor Michael Schumacher, he was unable to pee in his own car. A statement that the seven-time world champion now had to correct in the YouTube format "Hot Ones" ...

"It happened once. It was in Singapore, oh God ... two or three years ago. The safety car came out and I was behind the safety car and I just thought: 'I'm dying'," confessed Hamilton. Although he is keen to point out: "When your bladder is full, the G-forces we have to endure make it extremely uncomfortable. You just can't concentrate on your job."

No drinking before races
To avoid experiences like the one in Singapore, Hamilton says he doesn't drink before races. We can only hope that his preparations continue to serve their purpose in the future. The mechanics would probably thank him for it ...
