Women harassed and companion stabbed

On Thursday morning in Vienna-Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus, a bystander interfered in the conversation between a 37-year-old man and two women and behaved offensively towards them. When their companion tried to reprimand the stranger, he allegedly stabbed him with a knife. The man then fled the scene. 

The incident took place in Grangasse. When the companion of the two women asked the man to stop, the stranger is said to have suddenly pulled out a knife and injured him in the face and upper body. The perpetrator then fled the scene.

An immediate search was unsuccessful. The victim was given emergency medical treatment by the Vienna emergency services and taken to hospital. Further investigations are ongoing.
