The big party! GAK celebrates with its fans

GAK finished ten points ahead of Ried in the Second Division, which they achieved in commanding style on their way back to the Bundesliga. There have already been several celebrations. On Wednesday, however, the official championship celebration took place at the Weinzödl training center. 

GAK celebrated the first party spontaneously with players, officials and fans at the beginning of May, when it was clear that promotion was a done deal. This was followed by celebrations at the two home games against Horn and finally against Kapfenberg, where the official Bundesliga championship shield was presented.

On Wednesday, the official championship celebration followed at the training center in Weinzödl with live music, anecdotes from legends, interviews with academy director Christian Zach as well as the board and sports director Didi Elsneg and also the award ceremony for the women's team. The team won the national league title without losing a single point. The big highlight was the presentation of the players and the coaching team around head coach Gernot Messner.
