One or more dog haters are up to mischief in the 21st district. A victim talks about the incident in the "Krone" newspaper.

In the neighborhood around Jedleseer Straße in Floridsdorf, more precisely between Aupark and Arnoldgasse, a dog killer is on the loose. According to vets Katja and Deni Milenkovic, seven four-legged friends have died in their practice alone to date - poison bait is suspected.

However, the method is becoming increasingly sophisticated, and contact poison scattered in the meadow is now being used. One of the victims is Cornelia P.'s 11-year-old "Nike": "She started shaking after a walk, which worried me. But she ate and drank normally," explains P.

Multi-organ failure after poison
The vet suspected that the dose of dehydration tablets was too low due to a previous illness. A few days later, "Nike" collapsed, multiple organ failure - she had to be euthanized. Then it was clear: it must have been poison.

One-year-old dog died
Toffee", her friend's one-year-old dog, also died after a walk in the area.

Former district councillor Hansjörg Schimanek and those affected are asking people to report any observations to the police.
