Several break-ins over the Whitsun weekend

Burglars stole several bicycles from garages and cellar compartments in Flachgau on Monday night. Three other criminals, however, were prevented from committing the crime and caught in the city of Salzburg.

On the night of May 20, previously unknown perpetrators broke into two garages and a multi-party house garage in Salzburg Bergheim. The burglars stole a mountain bike and an e-bike. Two owners in Elsbethen-Glasenbach also reported the theft of e-bikes from cellar compartments. The total loss amounts to several thousand euros.

Caught in the act
Three people were arrested by the police shortly after one o'clock in Elisabethstraße in the city of Salzburg. Witnesses observed the suspects attempting to break into an apartment. Before the police arrived on the scene, the three fled the scene.

After a short manhunt, a 29-year-old Austrian woman and two 21-year-old men from Algeria and Morocco were stopped and arrested. The 21-year-old Moroccan behaved extremely aggressively and tried to resist arrest. The suspects were taken to the police detention center.
