Two people injured in bike crashes in Tyrol

Many Tyroleans took to their bikes in the beautiful weather over the Whitsun weekend. Unfortunately, there were also a few accidents. In the district of Schwaz, a 76-year-old and a boy (13) had an accident. 

The first accident occurred on Saturday lunchtime in the district capital, where a pensioner (76) was riding his bike eastwards in the Pirchanger district. The local had to slow down due to traffic. He lost his balance, fell and injured himself. The 76-year-old was taken to hospital in Schwaz by the ambulance service. 

Teenager crashed while riding downhill
There was another crash on Whit Sunday, this time in Stumm in Zillertal. A 13-year-old cyclist was riding down Dristalstraße towards Obisdorfweg at around 7.15 pm. The teenager fell through his own fault and suffered serious injuries. He was also taken to Schwaz hospital by the ambulance service.
