Alex Zverev ready for Paris after title in Rome!

German Alexander Zverev has won the Masters 1000 tournament in Rome and thus celebrated a perfect dress rehearsal for the French Open! 

The world number five beat Chile's Nicolas Jarry 6:4, 7:5 in the final of the clay court event in the Italian capital on Sunday to win his first title of the year.

"The victory means a lot to me. Rome is a very special place for me," said Zverev, who had already won there in 2017.

Sunday's title was his first at Masters 1000 level since his serious foot injury two years ago. "The focus is obviously on Paris, but first of all I'm enjoying this win."
