Major operation in Vienna: building was on fire

Early on Saturday morning, attentive neighbors became aware of thick clouds of smoke in Vienna-Donaustadt. A building was on fire. The emergency services were alerted and were able to intervene quickly to prevent the worst from happening.

The residents were woken from their sleep at around 6 a.m. when they suddenly noticed a huge column of smoke. A large fire had broken out in an outbuilding of a residential building in Pfalzgasse. The emergency services immediately began fighting the fire and were able to bring it under control after an hour.

No casualties
An extinguishing line was used to prevent the flames from spreading further. The detached building contained, among other things, bicycles belonging to local residents. There are no injuries. The cause of the fire is still unclear. The investigation is in full swing.
