E-scooter exploded in apartment: man injured

Wild scenes in Salzburg-Taxham! A resident charged an e-scooter in his apartment on Thursday and unplugged it. Seconds later, the scooter exploded! The man was injured - but reacted with presence of mind ... 

The resident did not hesitate and threw the e-scooter from the third floor of the apartment building into the courtyard. According to initial reports, the man suffered burns to his legs.

The Red Cross took the man to hospital.(Bild: Markus Tschepp, Krone KREATIV)

The fire department was called out and was able to extinguish the burning scooter. The scooter then had to be cooled down before it could be taken away. 

The cause of the explosion is still unclear.
