Colorado puts Dallas under pressure again

The Colorado Avalanche have averted a play-off exit against the Dallas Stars in the National Hockey League. 

After three defeats in a row against the Texans, the Avs secured a 5:3 away win on Wednesday (local time). The Stars now lead the "best of seven" 3:2. Colorado trailed twice, but after two early goals in the final period, the team from Denver pulled away 4:2. Cale Makar scored twice for the visitors.

In the American Hockey League, Marco Kasper played big for the Grand Rapids Griffins in their 4-2 win over the Milwaukee Admirals. The center recorded a goal and two assists and was named the game's best player. The Griffins thus took a 1-0 lead in the Central Division final series. The winner of the series will play in the Western Conference Final for a spot in the AHL Final Series.
