AI expert and co-founder leaves OpenAI

One of the most important AI experts at ChatGPT inventor OpenAI is leaving the company. The co-founder and former head of research Ilya Sutskever wrote on X on Tuesday that he wanted to devote himself to a project that was personally important to him. He plans to announce details later. 

Last November, Sutskever was one of the members of OpenAI's board of directors who surprisingly succeeded in replacing the company's CEO Sam Altman. However, Altman returned to the company just a few days later following the intervention of employees and investors such as Microsoft.

"Emotional day"
Sutskever also changed his mind and wrote that he regretted his move. According to the New York Times, Sutskever remained an employee of OpenAI, but did not return to work. It was an "emotional day", Altman told the newspaper about Sutskever's departure. "OpenAI would not exist without him and was definitely shaped by him."
