Because the woman had not paid for the food she had consumed, an employee allegedly followed her outside and confronted her. After the 22-year-old had punched the man in the face, she was stopped by the police a short time later in the Stephansplatz area.

"As she did not provide any information about her identity, she was subjected to a cursory search", said police spokesman Mattias Schuster on Tuesday. During the search, the Austrian woman began to swear at the police officers and also punched a female officer in the face. The woman was then provisionally arrested and is in police custody.
