Electrician touched power line: injured

A 19-year-old electrician suffered a severe electric shock because he touched an overhead power line on a campsite in Villach.

A serious accident at work occurred on Monday afternoon in the Drau city. "A 19-year-old electrician from the district of Villach accidentally touched an overhead power line while working on a campsite and suffered an electric shock," according to the Landskron police station.

Arm injuries
As a result, his left arm was injured to an indeterminate degree. He had to be taken to Villach Regional Hospital by ambulance. Further investigations into the course of the accident are ongoing.
