Threatening letter found in toilet: An announced rampage at a school in Wiener Neustadt forces pupils into homeschooling. Meanwhile, the final exams on Tuesday will take place under the highest security precautions. 

A highly explosive message is currently causing quite a stir in and around the Handelsakademie (HAK) in Wiener Neustadt. The message was aimed at a possible rampage on Tuesday - the day on which the final exams take place. The threat was found on Monday in a toilet in the school building. According to the police, the threat situation was immediately reviewed and a security concept was drawn up for the upcoming exam day. 

Danger of copycats
Homeschooling has been made compulsory for the remaining pupils. Persons from outside the school are denied access. The Directorate of Education, the executive and the school are in close contact. Only recently, a similar incident at the federal school center in Tulln caused quite a stir. Here, too, a security service and a close-meshed control system were installed in the school following a threat.
