Wrestler Markus Ragginger misses out on Olympic ticket

Wrestler Markus Ragginger has to bury his hopes of a ticket to the Olympics. The Walser failed in the hope round of the qualifying tournament in Istanbul.

Markus Ragginger fell by the wayside at the Olympic qualifying tournament for wrestlers in Istanbul. Ragginger (up to 97 kg/Greek-Roman style) lost his second fight against the Ukrainian Wladen Kozljuk in the hope round on Friday - after a success against the Swiss Ramon Betschart.

The wrestler from AC Wals would have needed four wins to secure his ticket for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
