Two Austrians killed in plane crash
Terrible news from France: a small plane has crashed there. Two Austrians were on board. They were killed in the accident.
The victims from Austria are said to be a woman (49) and a man (54). The two were killed on Thursday when a small plane crashed shortly after take-off at Challes-les-Eaux airfield in France.
Corresponding reports in the French media were confirmed by a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday.
House evacuated due to risk of explosion
According to the reports, the 54-year-old was piloting the single-engine plane, while the 49-year-old woman was on board as a passenger. They had landed to refuel before continuing their journey. Due to the risk of explosion, a house not far from the accident site had to be evacuated.
