After rollover: car makes emergency call in Tyrol
Spectacular traffic accident on Friday in the early hours of the morning in the Tyrolean Außerfern: a German woman (64) drove her car off the Fernpass road near Reutte, whereupon it overturned and came to rest on its side on the embankment. The injured driver had to be rescued from the wreckage by the fire department.
The devastating accident happened shortly before 4.30 a.m. on the B179 near the Urisee near Reutte. The 64-year-old German woman, who was traveling to Italy, lost control of her car due to a microsleep.

"The car then left the road, overturned in the area of the adjacent embankment and came to a standstill on the driver's side," reported the police.
An emergency call was automatically triggered via e-call.

Driver freed from the wreck
The rollover triggered an automatic emergency call via the e-call system. The driver was trapped in the wreck and had to be freed by the fire department.
After initial treatment at the scene of the accident, the 64-year-old woman was taken to Reutte District Hospital by ambulance.
