Ex-Lakers pro found dead at 33

The Los Angeles Lakers are mourning the death of their former player Darius Morris. As the NBA franchise confirmed on Sunday, the American was found dead in his home city of Los Angeles at the age of just 33.

Morris was drafted 41st overall by the Lakers in the 2011 draft, moved to the Philadelphia 76ers in 2013 and was later traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies and Brooklyn Nets, where he ended his NBA career in 2015.

The point guard played a total of 132 games in the world's strongest basketball league, scoring an average of 3.3 points per game. Morris has now died at the age of 33; the cause of death is not publicly known.
