Bruins give Panthers no chance in the opener
The Boston Bruins won the opening game of their second-round series against the Florida Panthers in the play-offs of the North American Ice Hockey League NHL on Monday evening with a clear 5:1 victory and gained some revenge for last year's humiliation.
Back then, the Panthers had already knocked the heavily favored Bruins out of the Stanley Cup competition in the first round. The second match of the "best of seven" series will also take place in Florida.
Boston fell behind in the Eastern Conference semi-final thanks to a goal from Matthew Tkachuk, but turned the game around with three goals in the second period. Justin Brazeau and Jake DeBrusk added two more goals in the final period.
