One dead and injured after shooting in Paris

One person was killed and several seriously injured in a shooting in a Paris suburb on Saturday night. The shots were fired shortly before midnight on Friday evening in a hotspot district of the suburb of Sevran.

When the police arrived at the scene, four injured people were lying on the ground, according to investigators. Rescue workers provided first aid, but were unable to save the life of one of the seriously injured.

Three critically injured
The other three were taken to various hospitals in the Paris area with life-threatening injuries. During the night, three more people with gunshot wounds were treated at the hospital in Aulnay-sous-Bois, a neighboring town of Sevran.
