Driverless small truck crashes through a crowd of people
A serious accident occurred on Thursday in the Suzak region of Kyrgyzstan. At an event on a hill, a small driverless truck suddenly started rolling and raced through the crowd (see video above). 30 children were injured.
A large number of people - including many children taking part in a poetry competition - had gathered on the hill in the village of Zherge Valley. The driver of the small truck stated that he had parked the vehicle further up the hill at the venue. However, it rolled away for an as yet unexplained reason.
According to the local health authority, many of the victims are between nine and 16 years old, and three of the seriously injured victims who were run over by the van are in a critical condition. An investigation into the accident is underway.
