Drug driver taken off the road

Police caught a 27-year-old man from Salzburg during a driver and vehicle check on the A1 Westautobahn - the drug saliva test was positive.

The patrol carried out checks along the Westautobahn in the Salzburg area on Thursday. The Salzburg driver attracted attention with his conspicuous driving style. Due to the clearly recognizable signs of impairment, a breathalyzer test was the result. This was negative, but a drug saliva test was positive.

A district doctor then determined that he was unfit to drive. The 27-year-old's driver's license was confiscated and he was prohibited from continuing to drive. He will be reported to the police.
