ASV Vienna has been riding a wave of success in the domestic water polo league since the start of the season. Coach Mike Fasching's squad finished the basic round in first place. The 2020 double winners will soon face Salzburg in the semi-finals.
Six games, six wins. The season is running like clockwork for ASV-Ströck-Wien in the domestic water polo Bundesliga this year. At the end of the basic round, they celebrated a 15:8 victory at champions WBC Tirol.
"We're playing a very strong season and are determined to win the title. We've strengthened ourselves well and our sports students are becoming more and more experienced and ruthless over time. That makes me proud," praises chairman Bernard Stejskal.
Coach Mike Fasching's squad is aiming to become champions again after 2020, starting the best-of-3 semi-final series away to Salzburg on May 11, with the second leg (hopefully) taking place at the Stadionbad on May 25. "Our current form gives us a broad chest for the hot finish to the season," says Stejskal.
