Liensberger one of six new members of the national team
There are six new athletes in the ÖSV national team squad for the upcoming ski season compared to the previous season.
The Ski Austria (ÖSV) squad for 2024/25 published on Friday includes 78 national team members out of a total of 373 athletes. New or returning to this category after a break are 17 athletes. These include Fabio Gstrein, Johannes Strolz, Katharina Huber, Katharina Liensberger, Ariane Rädler and Julia Scheib (all alpine skiing), Thomas Rettenegger (Nordic combined), Mika Vermeulen (cross-country skiing) and Anna Gandler (biathlon).

"Our goal is to be positioned in all disciplines in such a way that we can also be successful there," said Mario Stecher, who officially took over as ÖSV Sports Director on Wednesday. "When I look at the individual squad lists and the corresponding coaching teams, you can see that we have good prerequisites in all disciplines to be able to compete at the top in the coming season - and that's exactly what it's all about."
