Accident on southern highway

While reversing: Truck trapped construction worker

Wherever work is being done, mistakes and accidents can happen. This was also the case on Thursday at a construction site on the southern highway.

On a construction site on the A2 near Klagenfurt at around 2 p.m. on Thursday, a truck driver (50) collided with the "sidewalk paver" work machine while reversing - without a guide - and trapped the 40-year-old driver between the control stand and the truck.

When the truck drove forward again, the injured man was rescued, treated by the emergency doctor and taken to hospital.
