Austria waits and sees
Decision on arbitration claim to be made on Monday
Going to arbitration would cost Austria Salzburg 10,000 euros. Missing building permit still tips the scales.
Austria Salzburg's disappointment at not being granted a license for the second soccer league has quickly faded. There was no other choice for those responsible. The next steps were to be clarified at a general meeting on Tuesday evening. Do they go to the Permanent Neutral Court of Arbitration or do they accept it and try again next season?
After a good two and a half hours, it was clear that no decision had (yet) been made. The vast majority (around 75 attendees) of the meeting voted in favor of an arbitration claim.
This would cost 10,000 euros - which should not be a problem for the Maxglans - and must be submitted by next Tuesday at the latest. The tipping point remains the lack of a decision on the planned noise barrier. "If this is received on time, as announced, a decision will be made at a board meeting on Monday evening," said the Western League leaders.
