At least 14 people killed in bus accident in Mexico

At least 14 people were killed in a bus accident in Mexico on Sunday. 

The authorities also announced that 31 people were injured. The bus crashed on a country road near the capital Mexico City.

The number of road accidents in Mexico has been rising sharply for several years. According to the statistics office, 301,678 accidents were recorded in 2020 and 377,231 in 2022.

At the end of January, 19 people were killed in a bus accident in the state of Sinaloa. One month later, ten people, including four minors, died in a serious traffic accident in the state of San Luis Potosí.
