90-year-old driver trapped woman between cars
A woman from Salzburg (54) was trapped between two cars in an underground parking garage in Gneis on Thursday. A 90-year-old driver slipped off the brake pedal.
On Thursday morning, a traffic accident occurred in the Gneis district of Salzburg in which a 54-year-old woman from Salzburg was injured. The woman was standing next to her parked vehicle in a public underground parking garage when a 90-year-old man from Salzburg drove into the garage.
To hospital by emergency helicopter
According to him, his foot slipped off the pedal when he braked. As a result, his vehicle rolled down the driveway without braking and hit the parked car, trapping the woman between the two vehicles. The car was only stopped by a supporting pillar. The injured woman was taken to hospital by emergency helicopter.
Although the man's breathalyzer test was negative, a roadworthiness test will be initiated in order to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident and take possible further action.
