Bank Austria with a surprising personnel change
UniCredit Bank Austria will have a dual management: the previous sole CEO Robert Zadrazil will become Country Manager in Austria and Ivan Vlaho, former CEO of Zagrebacka Banka, will become the new CEO. This was announced by Bank Austria on Tuesday afternoon. This will take effect on May 1, 2024.
The move is justified by the numerous tasks as Austria is increasingly developing into a key player in UniCredit's CEE markets.
Subsidiary of the Italian UniCredit
"As Country Manager Austria, Robert Zadrazil will represent UniCredit in Austria. He will be responsible for the important communication with all relevant stakeholders and institutions. Zadrazil will play a central role in customer relationship management and continue relationships and cooperation with important existing and new customers, particularly in the corporate and private banking segment," said the subsidiary of the Italian UniCredit.
Ivan Vlaho, who was most recently CEO of UniCredit Zagrebacka Banka, will assume this position in addition to his role as Deputy Head of the CEE region. He will be succeeded by Dalibor Cubela, who is currently Deputy CEO in Bulgaria. Vlaho will work closely with Zadrazil, according to the financial institution.
